Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025. Nintendo reported that it sold more than 3.5 million units in four days, making it the company's fastest-selling console. As of June 30, 2026, it had reached 23.68 million units, with 58.17 million Switch 2 games sold in total.

Nintendo's figures count units bundled with hardware and digital versions. Mario Kart World was bundled with the console at launch, which explains much of its lead. Pokémon Legends: Z-A reaches 13.09 million when the Switch version is added, and Super Mario Party Jamboree reaches 11.52 million.
Pokopia, the breakout
Pokémon Pokopia launched on March 5, 2026, and sold more than 2.2 million units in four days, including 1 million in Japan. Nintendo's 3.68 million figure only covers markets outside Japan, since The Pokémon Company publishes the game in Japan.
In August 2026, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced that Pokopia had passed 5 million units worldwide, about five months after launch.
