Azur Promilia, the open-world RPG from Azur Lane studio Manjuu, began its third closed beta test, the "Journey Trace Test," on September 17, 2026 at 11:00 (UTC+8), after a pre-download on September 15. It ran on PC, Android and iOS, and only in mainland China.
A domestic test, not a global beta
The access rules made that clear:
- China only, with a limited, paid entry
- Real-name verification required, and minors excluded
- A data wipe after the test
- Recruitment ran from about July 10 to August 20, 2026
It's described as the final closed test before the official release.
What the test included
According to GuruGamer's roundup of this test, the build had more than 200 Kibo, the creatures you recruit and fight alongside, about 50% more than the previous test, plus a new region, Misty Trace Forest.
The same report covers the gacha in this build: a 90-pull pity on the limited character banner and an 80-pull pity on the Lingzi (signature) banner, both without a 50/50, meaning the featured unit is guaranteed at pity. In Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail, losing the 50/50 can hand you a different character and reset the count. GuruGamer notes the setup applies to this test only and may change at launch, and Manjuu hasn't published these numbers itself.
After the test: 20 million pre-registrations and an English beta
On October 13, 2026, Manjuu said it had recently completed the third closed beta in mainland China, and announced two things:
- 20 million pre-registrations worldwide. "Reaching 20 million global pre-registrations is an incredible milestone for our team," a spokesperson said.
- An English open beta planned for summer 2027 on a dedicated US-based server, with no exact dates yet. The game has never been playable in English.
The game is planned for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. There is still no release date in any region.
