Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem, Scopely's mobile RPG, ended service on October 15, 2026. Scopely and Aquiris Game Studio announced the closure in July with a farewell message: "This isn't an easy goodbye." The studio added: "We don't take that lightly, and it's with real sadness that we say goodbye to this wonderful community."
Scopely didn't give a specific reason for the shutdown.
The shutdown timeline
- July: closure announced
- August 16: in-app purchases end, and the game's social channels are deactivated
- August 23: the game is removed from the App Store and Google Play; existing players keep access
- October 15: servers close, and customer support ends with them
No offline version has been announced. Players started a change.org petition asking Scopely for one, but nothing indicates Scopely has agreed.
A slow decline
According to AppMagic estimates reported by Mobilegamer.biz:
- Lifetime in-app revenue: over $106 million, 62% of it from US players
- Lifetime downloads: just over 41 million, 19% of them from the US
- Trend: revenue started falling in August 2021 and kept declining; the game has earned about $350,000 a month since January 2026
It's one of several mobile live-service closures this year. Nintendo shut down Mario Kart Tour in September: see our Mario Kart Tour shutdown coverage.
