BanG Dream! Our Notes goes live worldwide on September 24, 2026, on iOS and Android. Bilibili Games, publishing the title alongside Bushiroad Games and developer FROMTOKYO, is launching every supported region on the same day, with pre-download rolling out in the days before release.

The rhythm gacha genre already has plenty of competitors. BanG Dream! Our Notes brings something most of them lack: a decade-old multimedia franchise with an anime, a long-running predecessor game, and a fanbase that already knows the songs by heart.

A roster built on three established bands and two new ones

The game centers on five girl bands and 25 playable characters total. Three of those bands, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Mugendai MewType, come directly from the existing BanG Dream! franchise, carrying over story beats and songs familiar to anyone who followed the anime or played BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!. The other two, millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, were created specifically for Our Notes, giving the game original material alongside the fan-favorite groups.

That mix is the game's core pitch: veteran IP recognition paired with new content that gives the mobile release its own identity. Players follow MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica from rehearsal spaces to stadium stages through band-story chapters, backed by a mix of original songs and anime tracks, with real-time multiplayer built into the rhythm gameplay.

Pre-registration numbers and day-one bonuses

Bilibili Games confirmed more than 1.5 million pre-registrations worldwide ahead of launch, a figure that kept climbing in the run-up to release. The game supports English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese from day one, a language list that reaches well past Japan's existing BanG Dream! fandom.

The game is free-to-play with gacha-based character acquisition, and the launch package gives new and returning players a running start:

  • Season 1 Mission Pass, given free to every player at launch, alongside bonus Stars and Gacha Tickets
  • 7-Day login bonus: completing all seven daily logins grants an SR Member Miracle Ticket, an SR SNAPSHOT Miracle Ticket, and 1,000 Stars
  • 7-Day Beginner Missions: finishing the full set unlocks an SSR Member Miracle Ticket plus a commemorative "Snapshot" card

Miracle Tickets function as guaranteed pulls rather than randomized ones, giving new players a predictable way to secure specific SR and SSR units without relying entirely on the standard gacha pool during their first week.

What to watch after launch

Opening the servers only starts the test. BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! ran for years on a loyal, spending-active fanbase built around its rhythm gameplay and idol-style character banners. Our Notes has to convert that same audience, plus newcomers drawn in by MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica's anime popularity, into daily players who stick around past launch week.

Millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock! are the bigger unknown: neither band has a built-in anime audience to draw on. How players receive them will show whether Bilibili Games and Bushiroad Games can actually grow this cast, instead of just repackaging what already worked. Both bands make their first public appearance on September 24.
